Alaves Rivalry

As Basque country based team main rivals for Alaves are Eibar, Real Sociedad, Athletic Bilbao and Osasuna. Since the supporters of all of these clubs share similar origin, matches between them are seen as an opportunity to promote Basque culture and supporters are sometimes together on the stands and the streets. Besides Basque teams, Alaves developed local rivalry with CD Mirandes, since the Victoria hometown of Alaves and Miranda are just on 30km distance and teams have performed at Segunda B for more than a decade.
